Chris explains how the flaws in modern polling became clear in 2016 and have only grown worse. With historically low response rates and a growing imbalance in who actually participates in surveys, polling has become increasingly unreliable. He points out that lower response rates often favor Democrats and highlights one of the biggest blind spots in polling today: voter intensity. Campaign energy on the ground and enthusiasm from supporters are nearly impossible to measure, yet they can dramatically shape election outcomes.
